August 2020 Charity of the Month: Yoga Behind Bars

Yoga Behind Bars has been selected as Bonneville Seattle’s August charity of the month. Their mission is to share yoga and meditation with incarcerated people to promote rehabilitation, personal transformation and a more just society for all.
The non-profit trains and teaches 4,000 men, women and juveniles each year in 19 Washington State institutions. By teaching yoga and mindfulness, the goal is to provide incarcerated individuals tools to be successful after they are released.
