InvestED provides immediate help for students in need to encourage them to stay in school, to get more involved in school activities or simply to remove a roadblock to their success.

Each fall InvestED provides an initial round of funding directly to schools to make funds available for immediate use with minimal bureaucracy. With input from those who are closest to students – their teachers, counselors or coaches – the local InvestED Team funds items that specific students need, but cannot afford, allowing them to participate fully in school. Specific needs include such things as activity fees, musical instrument rentals, uniforms or clothing, or test fees.

Last year, this immediate help was provided to more than 18,000 students in 660+ schools throughout the state. But there are more schools and more needy students that could benefit from this program. That’s where you come in. We need volunteers, local community supporters, individuals and corporate sponsors to help raise more funds to assist more students.

This November, 710 ESPN Seattle, 成人X站 Radio 97.3 FM and the Seattle Seahawks helped raise over $100,000 for InvestEd during an online auction for the first Seahawks license plates in Washington state. The license plates were among the first 24 available in a special auction before the State of Washington releases the highly-anticipated Seattle Seahawks license plates to the public on January 1, 2014.
