Committee for Children has been named Bonneville Seattle鈥檚 Charity of the Month for July, for fostering the safety and well-being of children through social-emotional learning and development.
Social-emotional learning is recognizing and managing emotions, having empathy for others, maintaining cooperative relationships, and making responsible decisions. CFC is the world鈥檚 largest provider of research-based educational programs. Each year, more than 10.6 million children in over 70 countries benefit from these programs that help promote social-emotional skills and prevent bullying and sexual abuse.
