Jun 22, 2009, 8:36 AM | Updated: Apr 4, 2011, 11:21 am

Bonneville Seattle and the Seattle Seahawks are proud to announce the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alaska, Montana, Northern Idaho and Washington as July’s Charity of the Month!

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is the non-profit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Since its inception in 1986, the local chapter has granted thousands of wishes to children throughout the Northwest and recently celebrated a milestone when it granted its 4,000th wish! The lucky recipient was 4-year-old Colin who wished to go whale watching at Friday Harbor.

If you’d like to make a difference in the life of a child, please join the Make-A-Wish Foundation on Sunday, August 16th from 9 a.m. to noon at the inaugural Walk for Wishes at Marymoor Park in Redmond. This family-friendly 5K walk fundraiser will include food, beverages and entertainment. To learn more about Make-A-Wish or to register for the Walk for Wishes, please call 800.304.WISH or visit .
