May 2016 Charity of the Month: King County Search & Rescue
Apr 26, 2016, 10:30 PM

King County Search & Rescue has been named Bonneville Seattle’s Charity of the Month for May, for training and providing qualified personnel in response to search and rescue missions as well as natural disasters.
KCSARA was organized as a non-profit, volunteer group in 1965 to promote education of wilderness safety and recreation and promote, train, and deploy unified field teams with a high proficiency in search and rescue techniques. The volunteer rescuers search for missing children and adults, rescue lost and injured recreationists in our forests and wilderness, and locate critical evidence at crime scenes for local law enforcement. Though this is a volunteer service, each team member is required to pass many training requirements and exams, set by the State.
Support for KCSARA ensures the continuity of services for critical, on-going, and everyday needs of our community. For more information about King County Search & Rescue Association, visit .
