November 2019 Charity of the Month: Minority Veterans of America

Minority Veterans of America has been chosen as Bonneville Seattle’s charity of the month for November. Their work focuses on creating community belonging and advancing equity for minority and underrepresented veterans.

The primary underrepresented groups that Minority Vets serves are Veterans of Color, Women Veterans, LGBTQ Veterans and (Non)Religious Minority Veterans. They strive to build a veteran community that encompasses veterans from a wide range of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Minority Vets was founded by two University of Washington Husky veterans, Lindsay Church and Katherine Pratt, who served in the Navy and Air Force respectively.
