LifeWire has been named Bonneville Seattle鈥檚 Charity of the Month for October for their determination to prevent and end domestic violence.
First opened in 1982 as a volunteer-run crisis line, LifeWire has grown to become a leading domestic violence agency in Washington State. Not only is LifeWire taking a stand on domestic violence, it is also an innovator who is constantly working to develop groundbreaking programs to help survivors and their families as they heal from the emotional trauma. For example, LifeWire鈥檚 Housing Stability Program has helped numerous families, with 96% remaining stably housed after six months. Additionally, in 2016, over 3,000 teens were taught about domestic violence, healthy relationship skills and how to break the cycle of violence in their homes and communities.
LifeWire envisions a world in which every person lives in a safe environment, free from oppression and with the opportunity to thrive. If you would like to help be a part of this change, visit .
