Catholic Community Services: is now accepting donations that will be forwarded to Rev. Timothy J. Sauer, Pastor at St. John Vianney Church (Darrington) and Immaculate Conception Church (Arlington). These parishes will be reaching out to and assisting people in the Oso community in a variety of ways, including helping to defray funeral costs for loved ones. The Coastal Community Bank: is accepting donations for victims via the Darrington Recreation & Education Fund and American Red Cross at all locations: Darrington, Camano Island, Everett, Monroe, Stanwood, Sultan, Silver Lake, Smokey Point, Snohomish and Whidbey Island.

Attend a benefit event

• Benefit for OSO – All Proceeds go to Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation: Monday, May 12, 2014 8:00 PM PDT (7:30 PM Doors) Tractor, Seattle, WA, 21 years and over. Mary Lambert, La Luz, and Star Anna. Tickets $25. 100% of proceeds to mudslide victims.
• Norpoint Shooting Center in Arlington will be hosting a BBQ April 13 from 11-4. All money and donations will go to Oso victims and families in need. $5 a plate, $20 raffle tickets. (participants must be 21+ for raffle)
• The Spring Fling Fashion Show in Darrington now will be a fundraiser for the slide victims. The event is set for 5:30 to 8 p.m. April 12 and is $5 per person. Darrington youth will model fashions alongside an auction. Snacks and nonalcoholic drinks will be served. For tickets, call 425-320-6996.
• A benefit dinner and silent auction are planned April 27 at Nature’s Connection Place in Arlington. Organizers are looking for donations via businesses, help with the event and food donations. Email 530slidebenefit@gmail.com for more information.
• The Arlington Runners Club (ARC) is hosting the Oso United Mudslide Benefit Run on April 26. The event will begin with a moment of silence at 10:37 a.m. at the Arlington Airport Trail. The family-friendly event will feature a 1 mile or 5k walk and a 5k or 10k run. Registration costs $30 or $25 if you register before April 20. All proceeds will benefit local charities working to support those affected.
• The Wild Buffalo and What’s Up! Magazine will be hosting a benefit concert and silent auction in Bellingham on Thursday, April 10th. 100% of funds raised will go directly to Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team and The Disaster Relief Account for Oso Landslide Victims through the Cascade Valley Hospital Health Foundation. • Tony V’s in Everett has announced a benefit for May 9th featuring Guns of Nevada and others. If you can’t make the show, their donation box at the bar is already in place to accept what ever you can do to help.
• is doing a fundraiser for the victims of the Oso slide on Wednesday, April 9th with music from The Saints of Damnation, Under Sin, and Lake View Drive.

• Flights Pub in Everett wants to give back to the families affected by the landslide. 50% of event proceeds on Saturday, May 10 will go towards the appropriate charity dedicated towards this cause. We will also be taking donations if any wish to give.

• Volunteers for the Red Cross will be collecting donations outside the gates of Safeco Field during the Mariners 2014 home Opening Night, on Tuesday, April 8, when the Mariners meet the Los Angeles Angels.

• Anyone wishing to make a contribution to the Arlington Community Food Bank can do so at any Bank of America banking centers in Washington, Oregon and Idaho by using the account name “Arlington Community Food Bank Oso Mudslide Disaster Fund.”
• In conjunction with the Salvation Army, Bartell Drugs is accepting donations to support ongoing relief efforts for those affected by the recent Oso mudslide in Snohomish County. The Seattle-based chain has pledged $10,000 to match customer contributions with a donation to Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services. Donations of any amount can be made with a cashier at Bartell Drugs locations in Snohomish, King and Pierce counties.
• Cooper’s Alehouse is donating $1 to the Salvation Army Oso relief fund for every sampler sold during its which runs April 4th-25th.
• Silvana Firefighters Association Pancake Breakfast & Raffle to benefit Seth Jefferds, an Oso firefighter slide victim. Saturday April 12 from am to 12pm at the Silvana Viking Hall (1331 Pioneer Hwy, Silvana WA), donations welcomed.
• All Washington state Albertsons stores are giving their customers the opportunity to donate at the checkstand to the American Red Cross in support of their efforts to help victims in Snohomish County. Customers can also help by donating food, toothbrushes, diapers and more to the Darrington Food Bank at their Snohomish County Albertsons this weekend.
• For the next month, OutLoud Entertainment will be collecting donations at all of their trivia games and events.
• Gas cards can also be donated by mailing checks with “gas card” on the memo line to PO Box 90 Darrington WA 98241. King 5 News is promoting the effort.
• The Darrington Community Center welcomes any donations brought into the center, which is located at 570 Sauk Ave. 360-436-1217.
• Fred Meyer and QFC locations in Snohomish County have changed their checkstand coin boxes to benefit the American Red Cross for the next two weeks. QFC customers can also donate through checkstand scan cards.
• Nancy Howard Thomas is collecting pet supplies at her grooming shop Lickety Clips in Mt. Vernon (1320 Riverside Dr, Mt Vernon, WA 98273). She has also offered to groom any of the rescued pets.
• The Pazzaz Hair Design salon on N. Olympic Avenue downtown is giving money from each haircut to victims. 360-435-2975.
• KeyBank Stanwood is raising money for Amanda Skorjanc, a teller, and her 6-month-old baby, who were both seriously injured and are hospitalized. They lost their home, belongings and car. • The Northwest Equine Stewardship Center is having an “Equine Relief Effort” through Paypal. Donations provide supplies to those that are caring for horses who have lost their owners in the mudslide.

• The Darrington Food Bank is accepting donations but would like people to call ahead of time so they can coordinate drop off and storage of donations. 360-436-1833.
• The Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue K9 Team is taking donations through their website or mailed to 5506 Old Machias Rd. Snohomish, WA 98290.
• The Granite Falls High School ASB Leadership Class has been collecting monetary donations for the American Red Cross to help support those who have been affected by the disaster. These will be collected at the front office of the high school. Please contact Debbie Lindahl at 360-691-7713.
• Oso Strong Safety Shirt – Puyallup-based Safety Shirtz has created several different “Oso Strong” special shirts, with all the proceeds going to the victims through the Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation Disaster Relief Fund. You can see the shirts and and order them at their website here.
• Theo Chocolate, Tilth, Agrodolce, Golden Beetle and Revel will be raising funds for the Snohomish County chapter of the American Red Cross through the month of April by selling raffle tickets in Theo’s factory retail store (3400 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103) and in their All funds raised will be donated directly to the Snohomish County chapter of the American Red Cross.
• Keller Williams Realty is hosting a Clothes and Textile drive to benefit the community of Oso.
  We all have unwanted textiles. Instead of throwing into the trash where they’ll simply add to our Nation’s growing landfills, give your clothes a second life by participating in our textile collection drive and raising funds for the Community of Oso.

• Mount Vernon Red Apple and Carnation IGA are doing drives to raise money for the victims and survivors of OSO. We are asking our customers to ROUND UP their purchases to donate. If 1000 people donate $1.00 every day, well, you do the math. It adds up quick! In addition, for every $100 in donations that we receive, our stores will donate a case of bottled water to help the many volunteers who are still out there searching. Lake McMurray Fire Department has offered to deliver all donations received at our stores to the volunteers as needed.
• The outpouring of generosity by people donating to help Oso mudslide relief has been so overwhelming, some have said they can’t handle any more, and officials have asked people stop donating supplies. But not Jeffrey Hagar and the folks at Helping Hands Ministries.

  “Since we were added as a destination drop off we have had other groups such as the National Guard asking for help with certain items,” he says.

  There’s still plenty of need. Hagar says they’ve taken close to 8 pallets to their Lake Stevens store as of Wednesday. Much of it was loaded and taken to Arlington this morning. The group from Lake Stevens who is working with the Armory has already received 400 towels from them as well as about 40 boxes of donations for the field.
