Seattle Ronald McDonald House

Feb 2, 2009, 8:04 AM | Updated: Apr 4, 2011, 11:21 am

Bonneville Seattle, Snoqualmie Entertainment and the Seattle Seahawks are proud to announce the Seattle Ronald McDonald House as February’s Charity of the Month!

The Seattle Ronald McDonald House provides a caring “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill children being treated at Seattle Children’s Hospital. These families come to the House from throughout the Northwest and Alaska. Most have had their lives turned upside down, filled suddenly with fear, confusion and uncertainty. Most are struggling financially.

The House provides a comfortable place to stay and other programs, including meals and transportation. Families find support and friendship from other families faced with similar difficult circumstances.

The House is operated by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska. Part of the global RMHC global network, the Seattle House is the second largest House in the world, accommodating up to 80 families per night and providing more than 25,000 nights of housing annually.

The Seattle House relies on the local community for more than 80 percent of its funding. You can help by making a financial contribution today. Other ways of helping include volunteering your time, donating goods and services, being part of the dinner program and many others.

Support the House Feb. 28 and March 1 by attending two fun-filled days of hockey and Hollywood celebrities at the new ShoWare Center in Kent.
