September 2017 Charity of the Month: TEARS Foundation

The TEARS Foundation has been named Bonneville Seattle鈥檚 Charity of the Month for September for their continued efforts to assist bereaved families deal with financial expenses they face after the loss of a baby.

Founded in 2002, Sarah Slack decided to turn the tragedy of a stillbirth into an opportunity to make a positive impact in her community by helping other families who have lost an infant. The TEARS Foundation believes that every baby鈥檚 life deserves to be honored and memorialized and are committed to helping bereaved parents with this experience.

This foundation acts as a resource for finding local emotional support groups and provides financial support for unexpected child funeral expenses. Since its inception, The TEARS Foundation has helped thousands of families throughout the country.
