Youth in Focus

Bonneville Seattle and the Seattle Seahawks are proud to announce Youth in Focus as June’s Charity of the Month!
Everybody wants to know that their own story is meaningful and valuable. The mission of Youth in Focus is to use the story telling power of photography to help young people develop skills and attitudes to overcome barriers they face, and to help them experience their world in new ways so they can make positive choices in their lives.
Youth in Focus offers free, multi-level classes in both film and digital photography, and advanced students participate in a job skills project shooting assignments for hire. Classes are taught by professional teaching artists and supported by volunteer adult mentors. This helps create a community of support around the students that both encourages and challenges them on their journey to a positive adulthood.
