Pair of 14-year-olds arrested after pistol-whipping victim, stealing a car in Burien

King County Sheriff鈥檚 deputies arrested two 14-year-olds for an alleged carjacking that involved pistol-whipping a victim.
The violent carjacking occurred in Burien on March 22, when reports of the two teenagers stealing a car at the Arco Gas Station located on SW 136th Street and Ambaum Blvd SW came in. The teenage suspects allegedly pistol-whipped the victim of the carjacking and dragged him as they drove away in the vehicle.
Car theft-turned-police chase
The suspects were gone by the time King County deputies arrived, but a few hours later, a law enforcement official found the stolen car driving in Burien. After an initial attempt to pull the teenagers over, a police chase ensued.
The chase ended at a golf course on 116th and Des Moines Memorial Drive. S. The two suspects hopped out of the car and fled on foot. One of the suspects was wearing a black ski mask. One teenager was caught relatively quickly, while the other hopped a fence and ran through the golf course. A K-9 unit was dispatched, assisting in the second suspect’s eventual capture and arrest.

According to King County deputies, a third person, a woman, was in the stolen car as well. She did not run away, and was subsequently arrested and charged with robbery. She was booked at the King County jail while the teenage suspects were taken to the King County Juvenile Detention Center for first-degree robbery.
