The Tacoma Police Department (TPD) reported officers have arrested a 15-year-old boy in the deadly shooting of a man in February.
The department stated that just after 9 p.m. on February 22, 911 received multiple reports of shots being fired in the 1100 block of South L Street.
Officers responded and found an adult man with gunshot wounds. Law enforcement began performing life-saving measures until the fire department arrived, but the man died at the scene.
Through TPD’s investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest a suspect. On Wednesday, Tacoma officers and detectives arrested the 15-year-old in the 1100 block of L street without incident.
The teen has been booked into the juvenile detention center for investigation of first-degree murder.
