Struggling with the price of eggs in Seattle or Tacoma? There’s a way to get a dozen for just $2.
In the Seattle metropolitan area, consumers have been with soaring egg prices, with costs reaching as high as $12 to $14 per dozen at certain retailers. At least, if you can find them on shelves. This surge has been largely attributed to a nationwide avian flu outbreak, which has significantly disrupted poultry populations and, consequently, egg supplies.
But there’s a way to buy eggs at a deep discount — with a membership caveat.

Here’s where you get $2 eggs
Amid these escalating prices, Gopuff, an app-based delivery service similar to UberEats, but more focused on snacks, offers a cost-effective alternative through its FAM membership program. For a monthly fee of $7.99, FAM members can purchase a dozen eggs for just $2, alongside other benefits such as free delivery and exclusive weekly deals at 30% off. There’s a limit of one dozen eggs order at a time.
“Part of that program included a commitment to offering $2 eggs for our members,” a Gopuff spokesperson explained to “The Jason Rantz Show” on KTTH.
The avian flu outbreak has not only affected consumers but also local businesses.

Egg prices have hurt businesses
Bakeries and restaurants in Seattle, for instance, have reported that egg prices have more than doubled, prompting them to absorb costs to avoid frequent price adjustments for customers. At the same time, they’re dealing with a higher minimum wage without a tip credit.
The cost has gotten so bad that a West Seattle was targeted by thieves who were able to steal 540 eggs.
To stop a run on eggs and maintain a reasonable stock, some grocery stores in Washington and around the country are purchases to just one dozen.
Where does Gopuff serve? What if you don’t want to shop over an app?
Gopuff purchased BevMo!, allowing them to expand its service area.
The app-based service serves customers across Seattle, north into Shoreline, and south into Des Moines and Renton. Gopuff also serves customers in Mercer Island, Eastgate, Bellevue, Redmond, and Kirkland.
Outside of the King County area, they also service customers in Silverdale/Kitsap, Tacoma, Lakewood and Parkland, as well as further north in Bellingham, according to the spokesperson.
But not everyone is comfortable or interested in app-based shopping. According to Reddit Seattle users, and offer inexpensive eggs.
