Tom & Curley: With Regal closing and delays, it’s as if 2020 didn’t exist for movies

Regal Cinemas announced that they will be closing down all 536 U.S. theaters on Thursday due to challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic. They say the move is a temporary one but did not give a reopening date. This comes two months after they began opening some theaters in late August.
鈥淎nother business that the government can claim credit for killing,鈥 said 成人X站 Radio鈥檚 John Curley. 鈥淭hey will most likely have to try to end up finding somebody to come in and knock everything down and then scrape the gum off the floor.”

Even though many were open, people did not attend, and with so many movie releases getting delayed (like 鈥淣o Time to Die鈥), there weren鈥檛 very many products to feature.
鈥淪omething like 70% of theaters across the country were open, but nobody came. So even though they were open, people didn’t think it was worth the risk,鈥 said co-host Tom Tangney.
