Pedestrian carjacks semi in Thurston County, causing backups on I-5

A pedestrian reportedly carjacked a semi-truck in Thurston County Friday, and later crashed the vehicle on I-5, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
Southbound Martin Way was blocked at 2 p.m. today after a pedestrian carjacked a semi-truck, .
According to WSP Trooper Robert Reyer, the suspect hit several other vehicles before rolling it on the Interstate.
Just before 4 p.m., troopers used a tool to rip the windshield off the truck, exposing the cab, according to ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ 7. After they launched what appeared to be tear gas, the suspect jumped from the cab, where he appeared to be tased and detained.
– The suspect is currently refusing to exit the cab of the rolled-over semi-truck
North- and southbound lanes are currently blocked
