Contractors’ work to pave portions of the mainline and work on utilities beneath the Montlake Lid is causing the closure.
There are still several months of work left on the portion of the SR 520 expansion project as it is scheduled to wrap up by early 2024.
WSDOT has estimated three more closures of SR 520 and another two closures of Montlake Boulevard before the work is completed.
