Kent Police investigating sexual assault at Lake Fenwick Park, seeking witnesses

The Kent Police Department (KPD) is investigating a sexual assault that occurred at Lake Fenwick Park last week.
Kent detectives reported the assault allegedly occurred on April 22, between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., on a walking trail near the water. KPD believes multiple people were on the trail when the assault occurred.
“Investigators are urging anyone who was at the park during that time and observed anything unusual, heard anything suspicious, or spoke with the victim to come forward,” KPD stated in a .
The department did state that there is no ongoing safety threat to the public.
Kent police looking for witnesses
As KPD continues to investigate, detectives are asking residents who live along Lake Fenwick Road to check their security cameras for any footage captured along the roadway during the stated timeframe.
