Mexican national indicted for child sex photos in Snohomish County

A 42-year-old Mexican citizen who is once again a registered sex offender has been indicted after allegedly receiving images of child sexual abuse, announced U.S. Attorney Teal Luthy Miller in .
Jamie Neri-Soto was arrested by Bothell Police detectives after tips were submitted to the (NCMEC).
Everything began in October of 2024 when WhatsApp notified NCMEC about a user on its platform uploading images of child sexual abuse, according to the attorney’s office.
One month later, the Bothell Police Department began investigating. The press release stated that police were able to link the phone number and IP address associated with the images to Neri-Soto.

After surveilling Neri-Soto, he was arrested by police and brought to the Bothell Police Department. During the fingerprinting process, investigators discovered that Neri-Soto was a previously registered sex offender. His registration was terminated in 2017 when he was deported to Mexico. However, following his arrest, he was registered again.
A review of  Neri-Soto’s electronic devices allegedly uncovered numerous images of child sexual abuse. Neri-Soto is scheduled for his arraignment on March 13, 2025.
