There were at least two smash-and-grab burglaries occurred at Seattle pot shops on Friday morning.
One incident took place at Cannazone Seattle Cannabis Dispensary, located at 1956 1st Ave. South, between Krispy Kreme and Starbucks. The front door was damaged, and window bollards were smashed and lying on their sides. Workers reported that around 4 a.m., a car attempted to back into a large wrought iron door with thick glass. Â The door was installed after a similar incident last year. The car failed to breach the door, then shifted and repeatedly backed into the window and a bollard, eventually hitting a gas line and meter, causing a gas leak. Puget Sound Energy responded to the scene, and firefighters had to cut through the wrought iron door. The suspects fled in a getaway car, leaving an Acura at the scene.

At The Reef cannabis shop on Capitol Hill, located on Olive Way, a similar scene unfolded. A car backed into the front metal door. “The 1500 block at East Denny, East Olive and Summit will be shut down until further notice,” according to a post from Seattle Police on X. The building appears to have suffered structural damage.
It is not known if the thieves were able to get away with any cash or product from either location. There are unconfirmed reports of third incident in North Seattle.
There are also unconfirmed reports of a third incident in Seattle Friday morning.
