A former Purina Puppy Chow model turned police K-9 has helped authorities make another drug bust.
Quinn, a Labrador retriever, assisted King County鈥檚 Precinct 4 Special Emphasis Team in removing drugs, weapons, and suspected criminals from the streets.
In a , the sheriff鈥檚 office said the investigation ended on March 19 with the arrests of two narcotics traffickers operating in southwest King County.
鈥淥ne had a previous arrest in 2022,鈥 the post said. 鈥淣aturally, Quinn was key.鈥
Former Puppy Chow model helps deputies seize more than pound of cocaine
Deputies seized more than a pound of cocaine, valued at about $50,000, along with a handgun and approximately $1,000 in cash.
Authorities said the suspects were booked on charges of intent to distribute and conspiracy. One suspect also faces an additional charge of firearm possession.
Quinn joined Burien鈥檚 police force in November 2022. His first bust came at the tail end of a year-long investigation into an alleged drug operation with ties to Mexico鈥檚 Sinaloa Cartel. That case resulted in the seizure of an estimated $2.5 million worth of crystal meth, fentanyl and black-tar heroin, according to
Quinn was also involved when law enforcement officials intercepted a commercial vehicle being brought into Burien with illegal drugs and contraband worth $1.46 million in January of 2024.
