Man arrested after allegedly stabbing woman in face in downtown Seattle

Seattle Police Department officers have arrested a man after he allegedly stabbed a woman in the face in downtown Seattle.
The incident happened Friday around 12 p.m. in the 2100 block of Third Avenue. Officers were originally sent to reports of a man stabbing people, however, only one victim was found. The woman, in her 50s, had a cut near her eye.
SPD said police deployed a taser while arresting the man.

“Officers arrived and found a male and actually arrested that male, he was in his 30s,” an SPD spokesperson told MyNorthwest. “They found a female with a laceration near the eye, non-life-threatening injuries.”
SPD said the woman was transported to the hospital by AMR for medical care, while the suspect will be transported the the King County Jail for assault.
